Michael Karter, DDS

After graduating New York University School of Dentistry in 1980, Dr. Michael joined his father, Dr. Jesse Karter, in his Levittown Dental Practice. For the next 10 years, they worked together to keep Levittown smiling. Having opened the office in 1949, Drs. Jesse and Michael combined have now been serving the dental health needs of Levittown and its surrounding communities for over 73 years!

As a general dentist, Dr. Karter’s practice focuses on all aspects of your dental health.  He also works with a network of highly skilled specialists who are available to provide needed care when appropriate.

Dr. Karter also provides consulting services for Parkell Inc., a division of the Directa Dental Group, an international dental manufacturer based in Sweden.  His work with Parkell Inc. includes training dentists on the use of Parkell’s devices and materials as well as helping Parkell in their development of the next generation of products that are used by dentists every day in their offices.

Dr. Karter stays current with the latest procedures, techniques and materials that are available for improving your dental health.   He  also regularly takes continuing education courses.

Dr. Karter is a member of the American Dental Association, the New York State Dental Association, and the Nassau County Dental Society.
